I took my daughter to her first Miami Marlins game earlier this season. It was a road contest in Atlanta against the Braves.
This is her first-hand account of the events of that night. Be nice, she’s only seven. I did not help her write this Miami Marlins article in any way.
Chloe’s Account
This was a bit of days ago. So, I went to my first MLB Game. I forgot if it was MILB or MLB. Anyways, let’s continue! It was in Atlanta. So, when I saw Justin Bour, I was shy to yell his name. So, my dad yelled “Justin!” and then he turned around. That was when I got excited. So I waved and jumped. I was super happy! I even bought a pen and baseball to get his autograph! I wanted his autograph so badly! And this is the funny part. When the fans started the chop, I did a thumb down. And I moved like the chop
. And I said “Boo! Boo! Boo!” So funny! Anyways, I was thirsty. So I told my dad. And he was like “Ok”, so we got drinks. Later, we got food! My gosh, I was hungry and thirsty!

So, the Marlins lost. An 8-1 game! I sure do wish they had won. When the game was over, we had to walk back to our hotel room at Red Roof Inn! It was so far away when we had to walk. It took us so long! I was so tired, along with my dad.
Some of the good things that happened for the Marlins
- Brian Anderson made his first hit in the 4th inning. Then he hit another in the 6th inning! What a player.
- Miguel Rojas hit the first hit in the game in the 1st inning.
- Bour got a walk in the 2nd inning. Then, Cameron Maybin hit a double. Then, Bour scored when Bryan Holaday grounded out. It was the only run they scored that day. But at least it made me happy.
- Bour finally got a hit in the 9th inning. But, aside from Anderson, nobody hit that well that day.
