The Miami Marlins are having breakout performances this season. In fact multiple ones in a row. The Fish may not be leading the division, but are certainly much closer to doing so than it was expected before the season started. The Fish are looking like a .500 team, that with some breaks could have an even more respectable record at the end of the day.

Positivity is being embraced by the Miami Marlins.

Peter Bendix is finally showing us that he had a good plan. The Miami Marlins are showing some fruits of his labor, with an improved team that is showing promise in the rotation and the lineup. Things are going in the right direction and it's nice to see the team embracing positivity along the way.

The tagline on new Marlins T-shirts is "It's a Good Day to Have a Good Day". It's a new team mantra...and it's working. Manager Clayton McCullough had this to say:

"Yesterday is what it was, and now today is a good day to have a good day"

It really is. Carson Vitale, the team's bench coach ordered 20 copies of this T-shirt for The Fish's staff. He did it back with the Seattle Mariners and he's bringing that attitude to Miami. He had this to say:

"They're very much like the JUCO grinder, good vibes, the epitome of what I view baseball: Play hard, run hard, love each other, support each other. That brand very much embodies that.”

The Miami Marlins have one of the youngest rosters and staffs in the Major Leagues, which allows the team to experiment with new ideas and to bring a more youthful energy to the season. Here are some more quotes from him:

"There's so much negativity around this game, there's so much failure, that finding ways to love each other and celebrate positive things I think is just crucial to development and winning and all the things we're trying to do here, in the immediate, and then also over a long period of time.
I always choose to look at the positive. There's always room for truth. There's always time for that. But when it's crafted with love, I think it lands a whole lot better.”

This is a great attitude and I'm hoping that it carries over throughout the season. I'm hoping that the Miami Marlins keep winning, and ultimately finish with a much better record than it was expected. I do see it as a legit possibility going forward. For now...."Today is indeed a good day to have a good day!"
