The 2003 World Series winning Miami Marlins (actually Florida Marlins) team will be celebrated this upcoming season. Rising superstar SS Xavier Edwards is celebrated this upcoming season as well. It's definitely the right time to start looking at getting tickets for the season. I already did my part in support for the team, and I hope you do it next. Yes, it's unlikely to be a good season, but we can at least enjoy the promotions and support the players.
The Miami Marlins promotional schedule is finally here!
On March 30, the Miami Marlins will be hosting the Pittsburgh Pirates and former first baseman Jeff Conine will be honored with a bobblehead. The April 13 game against the Washington Nationals features kids bucket hats, which is a fun day to bring your kids to the game. On May 4 against the Athletics, the give-away is a beach towel.
The May 18 game against the Tampa Bay Rays features a Celia Cruz bobblehead! That's a fun and perhaps unexpected giveaway. July 6 against the Milwaukee Brewers, the giveaway is a Jim Leyland bobblehead. The legendary manager led the then Florida Marlins to a World Series win in 1997. This is one giveaway I'm personally not going to miss.
Speaking of manager bobbleheads, Jack McKeon will be honored on August 3 against the New York Yankees. I already have tickets for that game and am very excited to get that bobblehead. It's nice to see both World Series managers honored with bobbleheads this season. On August 24 against the Toronto Blue Jays, former second baseman Luis Castillo will be honored with a bobblehead.
On September 14 against the Detroit Tigers, SS Xavier Edwards will be honored with a bobblehead as well. On September 28 against the New York Mets, the World Baseball Classic mini trophy will be given out.
I'm excited about the giveaways this season, are you? It's sadly not projected to be an exciting season for the Miami Marlins on the field, but at least we can see the young players continue developing and enjoy these giveaways. Which giveaways are you excited about the most?
