Miami Marlins rivals are in contention for some awards this season. It just feels like this was a good season for almost every team in the NL East...but the Miami Marlins. The Silver Slugger awards are the next thing coming for them. Once again it's New York Mets SS Francisco Lindor and also Philadelphia Phillies first baseman Bryce Harper.

More awards on the way for Miami Marlins rival team players.

It's sometimes hard to remember that the Miami Marlins actually made the playoffs last season. Seems like a long time ago, when The Fish lost 100 games this season. It was definitely a season to forget, but there should absolutely be optimism for how things will go in the next few seasons.

The Philadelphia Phillies won the NL East for the first time since 2011. The Atlanta Braves returned to the playoffs for the seventh straight season, and the New York Mets returned for the first time since the 2022 season. Even the Washington Nationals actually seemed to have turned the corner.

Francisco Lindor had a great season for the New York Mets this season. He was worth 6.9 WAR and is a contender for the NL MVP award. He batted .273/.344/.500, with 33 home runs and 91 RBI, in 152 games and 618 AB. He was easily the best SS in the National League, so I have no complaints about him winning the Silver Slugger for the position.

Bryce Harper was not a candidate for the NL MVP award. That said, he was worth a good 4.8 WAR. He also batted .285/.373/.525, with 30 home runs and 87 RBI, in 145 games and 550 AB. He's capable of better results and you can argue if he was indeed the best first baseman in the National League offensively. I still won't have much of a complaint about this. I just wish that Miami Marlins hitters can get into the mix in the next few seasons. It's tiring to see the rest of the division have success instead. We definitely deserve to see better results from the team we choose to support.
