The 2024 season is on the way. Will the Miami Marlins return to the playoffs for the second straight season...for the first time ever?! Or will The Fish miss the playoffs? The Fish are currently projected for an 80-82 W-L record by Fangraphs. There are three players whose performance will drastically change the way the season will go for Miami...

Three players will make the biggest difference for the Miami Marlins.

3. CF JAZZ CHISHOLM JR.

I wrote quite a bit about his potential. Jazz can either carry the offense, or spend most of the season on the IL. I can't stress this enough, but this is a player who was worth 2.4 WAR in just 60 games in 2022. He was on pace for a 5 WAR season prior to injury. When healthy, he's a 20+ home run bat with speed, who just needs to improve his contact to become a superstar. Well, that and stay healthy of course.

Staying healthy has been Jazz Chisholm Jr.'s kryptonite. He has never topped 124 games in his entire career. In fact, that game total from 2021 was also the only time that he played in over 100 games in a season. If he can stay healthy, he can be an MVP candidate. If he's injured again, I don't see how the offense will be good enough to make the playoffs.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. is also entering a bit of a "make or break" year. If he again misses a lot of time, he may not be a building block any longer...
