The All-Star Game is coming up! Who will represent the Miami Marlins at the game? Every team will have representatives, so someone from The Fish will have to be selected no matter what. With The Fish struggling this month and the season likely already over, the Trade Deadline seems to be the next area of concern. In the meantime, the All-Star Game is coming up and hopefully will give us something positive to look forward to.

The All-Star Game is coming up and a Miami Marlins pitcher should be selected.

I really like how Miami Marlins CF Jazz Chisholm Jr. is doing this season. He's currently batting .247/.314/.421, with 8 home runs and 29 RBI in 61 games and 235 AB. He's been worth 1.0 WAR this season. Starting Pitcher Ryan Weathers is having one amazing season so far though. The former top prospect has been worth 1.6 WAR. He has a 3.41 ERA/3.82 FIP, with 8.4 K/9 and 2.6 BB/9 in 12 games and 68.2 innings pitched.

It's a big deal that the former top San Diego Padres prospect is finally breaking out this season. It remains to be seen if he can keep this up all season, but for now he certainly looks the part of a top of the rotation starter. He certainly deserves to get recognition for this and an All-Star Game selection seems to be the right option.

Is there anyone else other than Ryan Weathers who should make the All-Star Game as a Miami Marlins? I can't think of anyone. The bullpen certainly hasn't produced anyone (though it's been better lately), there's no other starting pitchers and no one other than Jazz stands out in the lineup either. You could even make the argument that based on the batting line, Jazz isn't really a lock for the selection either.

If you think that DH Bryan De La Cruz should be voted in...he has a .244/.299/.405 batting line, though with 10 home runs and 27 RBI. The power is good, but certainly not the batting line. Ryan Weathers deserves to be the Miami Marlins All-tar Game selection.
