RHP Rhett Lowder - Wake Forest University

Wake Forest's superstar pitcher this season Rhett Lowder would be a steal if he falls to the 10th pick in the MLB draft, and while I don't think that will happen it's fun to look at the possibilities. Lowder has the most wins of any pitcher in college baseball at 15 and has an impressive 1.77 ERA. Most impressive of all, Lowder has a 0.6 home runs per 9 innings average this season, along with an 11.1 strikeouts per 9 innings average.

Lowder has been projected as a top 10 pick by multiple outlets and MLB.com ranks him eighth overall for this draft. The six-foot and two-inch starting pitcher has yet to lose a game this season and his fastball hovers in the mid 90s. We think if he's still around at pick 10 he is a shoe in for the Marlins who might be needing an ace in a few years, but we doubt he will be there.
