Arjun Nimmala, SS Strawberry Crest (FL)

Nimmala could be the shortstop of the future that the Miami Marlins need to solidify their middle infield with the above pictured Luis Arraez. Nimmala is commited to Florida State but is a projected top pick and so he will likely end up going with who drafts him in the top 15. Nimmala runs a 6.5 60 yard dash and is 6'1" and 170 lbs.

The 17 year old high school shortstop hit .479 as a senior with 6 home runs and 29 RBI in 89 plate appearances. His junior year was an off year, as he hit .271 with 3 home runs and 14 RBI and his sophomore year he hit .400 with 30 RBI. He is still young and will likely take at least three years to fully mature but if the Marlins think he is the future, they could draft him and wait for him to fully blossom.
