The top 30 Miami Marlins prospects

The Miami Marlins have a middle of the pack farm system and the top prospect has already been promoted. I already wrote about another top prospect earlier. How does the top 30 prospects list look like for The Fish now? Who might be the next breakout star? Let's take an in-depth look at the list...

The Miami Marlins top 30 prospects list is pretty interesting.

The number one prospect on the list is right handed SP Eury Perez. We've talked about him at length here, so I'm not going to do that now. Technically he's not even a prospect anymore. The #2 prospect is right handed starting pitcher Max Meyer, who I've covered on the site before. At #3 is 3B Jacob Berry. Berry's ETA is 2025 and he's batting a disappointing .180/.213/.320 in A+ this season. #4 is left handed SP Dax Fulton. #5 is left handed pitcher Jake Eder. Eder's ETA is 2024 and has a 1.77 ERA in AA this season.

#6 is catcher Joe Mack. Mack's ETA is 2025 and he has a .184/.268/.213 batting line in A+ this season. #7 is SS/3B Yiddi Cappe (ETA 2025), batting .236/.282/.363 in A+. #8 is RHP Jacob Miller (ETA 2026). He has a 5.00 ERA in single A. #9 is SS Jacob Amaya (ETA 2023), the offseason acquisition is batting .270/.340/.397 in AAA. #10 is SS/3B Jordan Groshans (ETA 2023), who is batting .262/.308/.311 in AAA. #11 is right handed SP Sixto Sanchez. Yes him. #12 is INF Xavier Edwards, who is already up.

#13 is 2B/SS Kahlil Watson (ETA 2025), who is batting .272/.419/.420 in A+. #14 is OF Victor Mesa Jr. (ETA 2024). He is batting .268/.333/.459 in AA. I have high hopes for him. #15 is 2B/3B Ian Lewis (ETA 2025). He is batting a disappointing .185/.283/.253 in single A. #16 is RHP Karson Milbrandt (ETA 2026), has a 5.97 ERA in single A. #17 is OF Jose Gerardo (ETA 2027) is batting .284/.417/.551 at the Rookie level. #18 is OF Antony Peguero (ETA 2027) is batting .286/.355/.423 at the Rookie level.

#19 is INF Marco Vargas (ETA 2027), he's batting .319/.421/.456 at the Rookie level. #20 is 2B Cody Morissette (ETA 2024). He's batting .169/.267/.275 in single A and AA. #21 is SS Nasim Nunez (ETA 2024), who is batting .265/.389/.342 in AA. I like his career .371 OBP. #22 is C Ronald Hernandez (ETA 2026) is batting .236/.329/.321 at the Rookie level. #23 is RHP Nic Enright. #24 is LHP Josh Simpson (ETA 2023). He has a 6.55 ERA in AAA. #25 is RHP Sean Reynolds (ETA 2024), has a 3.13 ERA in AA.

#26 is RHP George Soriano. He has a 2.57 ERA in the Majors as a reliever. #27 is RHP Evan Fitterer (ETA 2024), he has a 3.05 ERA in A+ and AA). #28 is C Paul McIntosh (ETA 2024) is batting .286/.368/.551 in AA. #29 is 1B/OF Troy Johnston (ETA 2023). He is batting .254/.379/.529 in AA. That is a promising OBP. #30 is LHP Patrick Monteverde (ETA 2024). He has a 1.29 ERA in AA. I'm intrigued.

There is definite potential for the farm system to improve. I'm intrigued by Kahlil Watson, Mesa, Troy Johnston and Monteverde among others. There's also the draft coming up.
