We've been busy grading the trades that took place at the Trade Deadline. Well, let's see how the Miami Marlins did in the prospect rankings department according to MLB.com. You can also see what I wrote about The Fish's top prospects prior to the Trade Deadline as well. It's definitely much better now, if I can start things off with a mild "spoiler". I chose 4 as these 4 also happen to be on the MLB.com top 100 prospects list.

The Miami Marlins top 4 prospects look much better than before.

The top prospect is also #38 on the MLB.com top 100 prospects lists. That prospects is none other than A+ RHP Noble Meyer. Meyer was drafted 10'th in 2023 and is expected to make his Major League debut in 2026. He's been described as having "pure stuff" and upside of a top of the rotation arm. The best part is that he is "extremely advanced" for someone drafted out of high school.

The second top Miami Marlins prospect is new acquisition LHP Robby Snelling. Snelling happens to be the #44 prospect on the MLB.com top 100 prospects list. The 6'3 pitcher can go as high up as 96 mph with his fastball. He's actually projected to make his debut in the Major Leagues during the 2025 season. I'm very excited about Snelling, and I like that The Fish have two pitchers in the top 100.

The third top prospect was #55 on the MLB.com top 100. It happens to be LHP Thomas White. White is a 6'5 High School 19 year old who is expected to make his debut in 2027. For whatever reason, I'm not particularly high on him. It's mostly due to him needing to improve his control and general stuff. That said, he has been projected as a possible top of the rotation arm if everything goes well.

Finally, the fourth prospect is #79 on the MLB.com top 100 list is SP Max Meyer. The righty really shouldn't be on the list, as he's hardly a prospect at this point, so I won't go on about him. He's projected to be a #2 arm in the rotation.

I really like how the Miami Marlins farm system looks these days.
