Peter Bendix has been building up the farm for the Miami Marlins. This is already starting to pay dividends and improving the team's once barren farm. MLB.com has finally taken notice and has a power hitting prospect they're excited about. I'm talking about 3B Deyvison De Los Santos. He looks to be a future asset to The Fish's lineup.

Top Miami Marlins prospect Deyvison De Los Santos is on the way!

Miami Marlins fans are tired of rebuilds and I'm no exception. I didn't see the core of the 2023 team as all that good, but I enjoyed the games and the playoff run. One of the prospects acquired from all of the trades is the aforementioned Deyvison De Los Santos. De Los Santos led the Minor Leagues with 40 home runs last season. He also has elite Exit Velocities that reach as high up as 116 mph.

There are some concerns however due to his high propensity for chasing pitches. He had an astounding 46% chase rate between AA and AAA levels in the Minor Leagues. That is definitely concerning going forward to be honest. I really hope that he's able to control his reckless swinging and get more patient as time goes on.

The 21 year old batted an astounding .294/.343/.571, with 40 home runs and 120 RBI in 137 games and 538 AB. That's the type of production we can only hope he can come close to at the Major League level. It's unclear when he'll be promoted, but I can see it happening at some point in 2025. He almost certainly has to receive some type of opportunity in the 2026 season.

I should also mention that he can play both first base and third base, though he's probably more suited for the former. Regardless, he's going to be a major asset to the team if he reins in his chasing of pitches and becomes more patient with the bat. I'm very excited that the Miami Marlins have Deyvison De Los Santos on the roster. He definitely has the potential to be a future star.
