The Miami Marlins were swept on Sunday by the Atlanta Braves. Starting pitching was solid, but again, the bullpen let the club down.

The Miami Marlins minor league feeder system, at the same time, got into four contests from Florida to Iowa to New Orleans to Mississippi.

Transactions

The New Orleans Baby Cakes activated SS JT Riddle from the seven-day injured list. That was the only transaction for the Miami Marlins system for the day.

After Charlotte crossed the plate in the sixth, James Nelson scored on an error in the seventh, then Isael Soto hit a three-run shot in the ninth to close it down.

Jordan Holloway (2-1, 2.29) earned the win by shutting Charlotte out on two hits over five innings. Colton Hock allowed a run in three innings of work, and Chad Smith worked a perfect ninth in a non-save situation.
