The new-look Miami Marlins have a slew of intriguing young prospects on the horizon. One of the most polarizing, power-hitting standout Deyvison De Los Santos, is expected to make his MLB debut next season.

It was mildly surprising that Miami elected not to give the minor league home run leader a taste of major league action at the end of 2024. It's hard to imagine the club delaying much longer.

While the headliner of last season's Aj Puk trade likely won't assume an immediate role as an everyday starter, his elite power production could allow him to make an instant impact. For context, De Los Santos' power numbers in the minor league, both his counting stats and advanced metrics, are virtually identical to All-Star slugger Pete Alonso.

What could Deyvison De Los Santos' stat line look like during his rookie campaign?

Both Steamer and FanGraphs DC, two of the most reputable projection sources in the game, have DLS batting .248, hitting 11 homers, and driving in between 32-43 RBI in 63 games. RotoChamps' composite projections are nearly identical.

While this batting average and level of power production make sense, the number of games is surprising. If De Los Santos does indeed receive a relatively early call-up, which should be expected considering his other-worldly minor league numbers, he is set up to appear in closer to 80+ games.

Perhaps DLS struggles and is sent down, which is common for many modern-day minor leaguers adjusting to MLB. However, I'll be a bit more aggressive in my projections.

I say that De Los Santos will receive an early call-up and get relatively consistent at-bats while cycling around first, DH, and pinch-hitting duties. I also predict he will appear in 86 games, receive 270+ at-bats, hit 15+ homers, and show signs of staying power for the rebuilding Marlins.

It's no surprise, but I also expect DLS's epic hard-hit numbers and exit velocities will make him the source of multiple Giancarlos-Stanton-like moon shots.

Buckle up Marlins' fans! De Los Santos' power production should make 2025 a blast!
