The off-season is underway and one of the storylines is whether the Miami Marlins will continue to improve the farm system. The farm hasn't been that good over the last few years, but Peter Bendix has been trying hard to change that. We now know who are the top 30 prospects in the Arizona Fall League. Who is on the list?

Miami Marlins and division rival prospects are on the top 30.

I'm not going to cover the whole list, just the prospects from the Miami Marlins and the division rivals. In first place is Philadelphia Phillies top prospect Andrew Painter. Painter is in second place on the team's prospect list and in 32'nd for the entire MLB. He recently had Tommy John Surgery, as well as had issues with the command of his fastball. That said, his heater averages 97 mph. He even got up to 100 mph on it before. He also has solid pitches in his curveball, slider, cutter and changeup. Philly surely expects him to be their ace of the future.

In 14'th place is New York Mets SS/OF Jett Williams. He's the #2 prospect on the Mets and the #52 prospect in the MLB. He needs to be more aggressive in the strike zone, but he has the patience and the speed to be a top of the order threat in the future. I'm not that high on him, but we'll see what happens.

The Atlanta Braves have their C Drake Baldwin at the 15'th spot on the list. He's their fifth top prospect, but isn't on the MLB list. He's improving defensively and has average power, though it remains to be seen how he will develop in the future.

We might not see him until 2016, but OF Kemp Alderman is 21'st on the list with his raw power. He definitely looks like he could be a major force in the future. I see him as being better than most of the prospects on this list in fact, a she also happened to record the highest Exit Velocity in the AFL this season. He is #12 on the Miami Marlins top prospects list.

At #23 on the list is OF Drew Gilbert of the New York Mets. He is #3 on the Mets top prospects and #74 on the MLB list. He's a major work in progress and I'm not high on him. We will see down the line which of these prospects actually make an impact.
