It feels like a genuine change of an era for the Miami Marlins. The Fish will hopefully be competitive next season, especially when division rivals are planning to have big off-seasons. One way for the Marlins to become competitive is through the farm system. There's actually some interesting notes on just that and they're hopefully going to excite you.
The Miami Marlins have some exciting prospects ready to make an impact in 2025.
One issue that the Miami Marlins will not have in the 2025 season is the impressive looking pitching rotation. The lineup needs help and it may be coming internally. One exciting prospect is C Agustin Ramirez. Ramirez has very impressive exit velocities and could be an elite power hitter if he can carry it over to the Major Leagues.
He also makes consistent contact and could end up being a middle of the order bat. Between the AA and AAA levels with the New York Yankees and the Marlins in 2024, he has a .267/.358/.487 batting line. The issue with him is that he's not very good defensively, so his future is probably best at first base rather than catcher.
1B/3B Deyvison De Los Santos is another interesting prospect to look forward to making an impact. He actually led the Minor leagues with home runs (40). He has similar assets as Agustin Ramirez, with impressive exit velocities, strength and bat speed. He does however play first base which is a packed position for the team in a way.
Another prospect that we should be excited about is RHP Robby Snelling. Snelling has been impressive this past season in the Minors. He pitched to a 3.00 ERA in AAA. He did this with 10.5 K/9 and 1.5 BB/9. It's important to mention that this was just one start and 6 innings pitched, but it doesn't make it any less impressive. It makes me think that Snelling could potentially make an impact if he gets called up during the 2025 season.
