One of the biggest news entering this off-season, has been the Miami Marlins needing a new broadcasting deal. Unfortunately, any changes to the team's broadcasting deal don't affect The Fish's likely off-season spending. We do however have some positive news about the aforementioned deal. Let's find out how this will affect The Fish in the 2025 season.

The Miami Marlins solved the broadcasting issue for the 2025 season!

Bruce Sherman was likely concerned about how much revenue the Miami Marlins would bring to the team in the 2025 season. Attendance wasn't good in the 100 loss season. It's also obvious that with the team retooling, it's not very likely to expect Peter Bendix to be after any of the top free agents this off-season.

The Diamond Sports Group situation has been a big story for the last year. DSG owns Bally Sports Networks, which broadcast games of many different Major League teams. When the company filed for bankruptcy, it created serious financial problems for the affected teams. The Texas Rangers didn't do much after winning the World Series last season. The Minnesota Twins actually cut payroll after winning their division and even finally a playoff game after a long time last season.

The Bally Sports Networks are actually going through a major rebranding. They will in fact now going to be known as the FanDuel Networks. I guess this is supposed to help people to forget about their horrible financial situation. The Networks actually paid the Miami Marlins $50 million this season. It's unknown how much the team will be making in the 2025 season. You see, the big news is that the Networks made a deal with The Fish for next season. This is of course great news, as it definitely solves a major off-season issue.

There are still teams who did not work out their own deals with the Networks, so for The Fish to get it done early is truly amazing. I'm very happy to hear about this, and hope that this will be a sign of brighter horizons in the future for the Miami Marlins.
