The Miami Marlins keep calling up prospects to the Major League team. At the same time The Fish's farm system is going strong, having rapidly improved since the Trade Deadline. New third baseman Connor Norby has been a revelation, and now it looks like the Washington Nationals will be looking for their own internal boost. Top prospect Dylan Crews is going up to the Major League team. That's a major move.

Marlins division rivals are preparing for contention

The Washington Nationals have not made the playoffs since the 2019 season. That was also the season when they last won the World Series. It's been quite the wait for them to get back into contention, but it seems they're finally making steps to get there. Obviously, as a Miami Marlins fan I hope that this push doesn't work out, but all we can do is watch what happens.

One of the top prospects in the game is getting called up by Washington I'm of course talking about OF Dylan Crews. Crews is the third prospect on the MLB list of the top 100 prospects in the game. The hype is pretty big with him and the expectations are enormous. The second pick from the 2023 draft is 22 years old and had quite a run in the Minor Leagues.

He's batted .274/.343/.446, with 5 home runs and 38 RBI in 51 games and 186 AB in AA. In AAA on the other hand, he's batted .265/.340/.455 with 8 home runs and 30 RBI in 49 games and 211 AB. It was clearly time to see what he does at the Major League level, though to be fair he might have needed a bit more seasoning at the AAA level.

It's definitely going to be interesting to see how Dylan Crews does at the Major League level. If he turns out to be a star, Washington will be closer to forming their new contending core. That said, if he struggles, that could be a blow to the team. The only thing that we can do is wait and watch to see what happens. Crews is expected to debut tonight against the New York Yankees.
