Miami Marlins can play spoiler for the playoffs this week
It's not fun to see how much, or better put how little the Miami Marlins are spending this season. It also is frustrating to see some starting pitchers have setbacks in their recovery. With the disappointing season winding down, the only thing left for The Fish to do is to play spoiler for the playoffs. What can the team do?
The only thing left is for the Miami Marlins to play spoiler for the playoffs.
Jake Burger, Connor Norby and others can lead the Miami Marlins to some fun results in the final week of the regular season. Whether it's a nice thing to do or not, the team can play spoiler in the American League Wild Card playoff race. It has been fun to watch the American League Central and the league's Wild Card playoff race.
The Cleveland Guardians have already won the American League Central division for the first time since the 2022 season. They arguably have the best bullpen in the division and after a close race are now division champs.
Cleveland's main competition in the division were the Kansas City Royals and the Minnesota Twins. Neither team will win the division now obviously, but Kansas City and Minnesota are in a tough race to claim Wild Card spots in the American League. The Baltimore Orioles have the top spot practically locked up, but the other two are being fought over by Kansas City, Minnesota, the Detroit Tigers and the Seattle Mariners.
This week, The Fish are visiting Minnesota for a three game series. The series starts tonight at 7:40 PM, with the next game at the same time on Wednesday night and finally once again at the same time on Thursday night. The Fish can really do some damage by beating Minnesota during that series. It's a must-win for the Twins and they will play hard to get intot he playoffs.
It's a bit frustrating that the ebst thing that the Miami Marlins can do this season, is play spoiler. It's a start however. I have hope for the 2025 season, but for now let's just enjoy the spoiling!
