The season is winding down and the playoffs are finally in sight. The Miami Marlins can see a starting pitcher win a prestigious award, and the team is making roster moves to hopefully figure out the bullpen mix next season. There are some interesting news however affecting The Fish's division rivals. Some are pretty shocking. So what are these news? Let's get into it...

Miami Marlins rivals are having an interesting end to the season.

The Atlanta Braves and the New York Mets are fighting for a Wild Card spot, but it's going to go down to the wire. The Mets have a road trip where they face the Atlanta Braves and the Milwaukee Brewers. It's going to be very hard for them to come out of this successful, but who knows? Atlanta on the other hand, have two home series. That said, those six games are against the Mets and the Kansas City Royals. It looks to be a pretty exciting time and a very nerve wrecking one for Atlanta's and the Mets' fans.

The Mets have another issue...ace Kodai Senga is done for the season. He pitched to a 3.38 ERA/3.35 FIP, with 15.2 K/9 and 1.7 BB/9 in a game and 5.1 innings pitched. Last season, he pitched to a 2.98 ERA/3.63 FIP, with 10.9 K/9 and 4.2 BB/9 in 29 games in 166.1 innings pitched. The Mets will surely miss their star if they make it into the playoffs. The reason has been him suffering from triceps tightness during a start in rehab.

Another division rival team for The Fish is of course the Washington Nationals. The team has surprisingly demoted star SS CJ Abrams, who has batted .246/.314/.433, with 20 home runs and 65 RBI in 138 games and 541 AB. He's been worth 3.4 WAR this season. His defense has also been worth a 0.9 dWAR. He also has 31 stolen bases. He's been demoted for partying in a casino, though all the details are unknown. It's a bizarre situation and might lead to issues between him and the team going forward.
