Updated MLB list of Miami Marlins prospects on the top 100
The Miami Marlins are adjusting to the post-Trade Deadline reality, while sadly watching former players potentially have their seasons end early. MLB.com has now released their new top 100 prospects list, and we can finally see where The Fish's top prospects rank on it. This is a good way of seeing how the farm system stacks up against the other teams. We can also see who to look forward to on the Major League team in the future.
How are the Miami Marlins represented on the MLB top 100 prospects list?
I'll jump ahead and say that there are exactly three Miami Marlins players on the new MLB.com top 100 prospects list. This list bizarrely does not include LHP Robby Snelling, who for some reason has been dropped off of the MLB top 100 prospects. I really don't understand this, as he's been showing elite stuff in the Minors since the trade. I can go on a rant about this, but considering that this list is objective, let's just keep that in mind.
The top Marlins player on the top 100 is LHP Thomas White at #46. That's actually an improvement for him, as he was #55 on the last list. The only knock on him is still his sometime control issues, once he gets it fully under control he's still projected to be a top of the rotation starting pitcher. I'm very excited about him, though his ETA is still the 2027 season.
The second Miami Marlins player on the list is Major League SP Max Meyer. He actually moved up from #79 on the last list to #71 now. I still don't really think that he should be on this list, considering he's probably staying in the Majors.
At #76 on the list is RHP Noble Meyer. He was #38 on the last list so that's quite the fall. He currently has a 2.65 ERA with 11.4 K/9 and 6.1 BB/9 in A-ball. I don't agree with his ranking and see it as too low. The MLB.com list needs some improvement when it comes to the Miami Marlins.
