Miami Marlins hitter gave an interview that you have to read to believe
The Miami Marlins fleeced the Baltimore Orioles for Connor Norby. Norby has been busy making team history recently, though sadly he didn't end up breaking the record of 12 consecutive games with a hit since debut. He's already clearly part of The Fish's core and will be a big part of the 2025 Marlins lineup. Norby was recently interviewed and it was good!
Connor Norby is a very interesting Miami Marlins player
Connor Norby revealed that he was quite a good athlete back when he was a kid. He played basically every sport. One of his favorites to play besides baseball, was hockey. He didn't take it seriously however and didn't even take any lessons. He just went into it and learned skating on the fly. He joked that when his friends would say that practice was at 6 AM, he would immediately say that he's not going.
Norby revealed that his hidden talent is that we has really good handwriting. Something that he says he got from his mom. He said that he reads the Bible every day and writes down in a journal every day. It looks like he's religious and that he cares a lot about his faith.
Connor Norby said that he likes the quote "don't think", as you don't have to be the "biggest guy". He used Julian Edelman from the NFL's New England Patriots as an example. He said he wasn't the "biggest guy" but that the Patriots would not have won the Super Bowl without him.
In some surprising news, guess how many tattoos Norby has? Six! He said:
"I got my first one during COVID. My mom was not happy, but she also knew, because I'd spoken about getting a tattoo for a long time. But I was still on her budget as a college student. So when she sees $200 taken out of the ATM. ... My favorite one is my big one that I got, it's just the stairway to heaven on my left arm. And then this one I got for my childhood friend. He ended up committing suicide, unfortunately, and I just got the date in Roman numerals. His parents still reach out.......He always wanted to play professional baseball, so it’s like having him live the dream through me."
He doesn't know if he's going to get any more tattoos. Connor Norby is a core player for the Miami Marlins and it's fun to get to know more about him.
