Some recently traded Marlins players are making their trades look better

The Miami Marlins received a haul at the Trade Deadline, making multiple great trades. Some of those seemingly came out of nowhere. The farm system is now on the rise and Peter Bendix looks good. How about the players that were traded though? How are they doing for their new teams? I'm specifically talking about Trevor Rogers, Tanner Scott and Bryan De La Cruz.

How are recently traded Marlins doing now that they've been traded?

Let's start with new Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Trevor Rogers. He delivered a 4.53 ERA/4.44 FIP, with 7.3 K/9 and 3.9 BB/9 in 21 games and 105.1 innings pitched. He was basically a mid-rotation starter for the Miami Marlins, but Baltimore of course way overpaid, as if he was going to turn into an ace with them. Rogers seems to have thought that he would've. So far, Rogers started 2 games and pitched 9.1innings. In that admittedly small sample size, he has a terrible 6.75 ERA/5.11 FIP, with 4.8 K/9 and 4.8 BB/9.

How about new San Diego Padres relief pitcher Tanner Scott? Scott had been a shutdown closer for the Miami Marlins, delivering a 1.18 ERA/3.27 FIP, with 10.4 K/9 and 5.3 BB/9 in 44 games and 45.2 innings pitched. He accumulated 18 saves as well. Upon being traded to San Diego however, he's no longer used as a closer. He has a surprisingly high 3.86 ERA/5.75 FIP, with 9.6 K/9 and 5.8 BB/9 in the admittedly small sample size of 5 games and 4.2 innings pitched.

This brings us to new Pittsburgh Pirates RF Bryan De La Cruz. He was traded because The Fish decided that he wasn't going to be a part of the team's long-term future. De La Cruz batted .245/.289/.417, with 18 home runs and 51 RBI in 105 games and 424 AB. So far things have not been going well for him in Pittsburgh... he's batting .118/.143/.118 with no home runs and 1 RBI, in 8 games and 35 AB. It's likely that he'll turn things around, but this was a terrible start for him.

So far the three traded former Miami Marlins players have been struggling in their new homes.
