The projected Miami Marlins lineup is scary

The Miami Marlins should be looking for lineup upgrades and pitching ones as well, with injuries hitting the staff. The lineup suffered a major injury too with third baseman Connor Norby out for as much as a month. The current projected batting order leaves very little room for optimism, I'm still hoping for more but it's hard to be too optimistic. The lineup just doesn't look too impressive.

The batting order doesn't look good for the Miami Marlins.

The lead-off spot in the Miami Marlins batting order is of course reserved for SS Xavier Edwards. The young hitter is one of the most exciting lead-off hitters in the game, and should be the spark plug to The Fish's lineup. He's the bright spot in the lineup that I'm not worried about at all.

Jonah Bride was supposed to be a DH for the team this season, but will be playing third base because Connor Norby is injured. Bride is expected to be batting second, which is quite a big opportunity for him. It's definitely a spot that he's getting because of his potential with his OBP.

First Baseman Matt Mervis will be batting third. That's a big opportunity for him, and I'm really hoping that he can make it count. Realistically though, it's going to be quite a big one for someone who has yet to deliver in the Major Leagues. Batting clean-up is Eric Wagaman, who will be filling in at DH as Norby is injured. That's a very high spot for someone who lacks much of a Major League track record.

RF Griffin Conine is projected to bat fifth, which is yet another player with a big opportunity that he may not be ready for. CF Derek Hill will be batting sixth. It's hard to be excited about either one, but I'm definitely hopeful that both of them will take steps forward. LF Kyle Stowers will be batting seventh, and will be expected to hopefully live up to his old hype. 2B Otto Lopez is batting eighth and C Nick Fortes is projected to be batting ninth. Not a very inspiring bottom of the batting order either. I'm really hoping that the Miami Marlins lineup will deliver, but it doesn't look promising.
